All companies operating (or willing to operate) mature fields in this region are facing the difficult problem of having to deal with fields for which a lot of data is missing, or is of very poor quality. Tens of years of production history are kept on degraded paper, some records being lost, while the well files contain only the minimal basic data. These fields were usually poorly investigated, with only standard electrical logging available on paper, and a few 2D seismic lines of varying vintage. Our team has extensive experience in the evaluation of such mature fields and very good knowledge of the producing basins/areas from Eastern Europe (especially from Romania, Hungary, Serbia, and Bulgaria). This experience can be decisive in cases where the available data only can lead to equivocal results, or where a go/no-go decision has to be taken.
